Voltage Testers

Used to test electrical conduits for active voltage.

Electrical Circuit Testers

These circuit testers are used to check the proper functioning of GFCI outlets, reversed polarities and bad or missing grounds.

Infrared Laser Thermometer

This thermometer is used to perform a temperature differential test on the central air conditioning system. This test is used to help evaluate the apparent condition of the system.

Moisture Meter

This meter is a non-invasive measuring device that determines the level of moisture in substrates. Typical areas of testing are of floors around toilets, bathtubs and showers and areas of staining that might suggest the presence of an active leak.

Telescoping Inspection Mirror

This mirror is used to help view and evaluate the water heater, heat exchanger, boiler combustion chamber and flues. It may also be used to check for the back drafting of these systems.

Automatic Leveling Laser

Used to document and measure the deflections in foundation walls and the sloping of floors.

Tiff 8800

This device detects the presence of gases such natural gas, propane and methane. It is used for leak detection on natural gas and propane lines. It may also be used to check for back drafting issues of a houses mechanical systems.

Carbon Monoxide Detector

This device samples the air and measures the amount of carbon monoxide present. It is used to check for the levels of carbon monoxide that may be present in the discharge gases of water heaters, furnaces and boilers.

Radon Detector

This electronic detector makes hourly measurements of radon levels in the home. This unit has tamper resistant features and also makes it possible to determine if testing parameters are not being met. This data is downloadable to a computer and available for immediate printing.

Convertable Tablet PC

This Tablet PC uses AHIT's reporting program that allows me to enter evaluations into the final report as the inspection progresses. Digital pictures and diagrams are added for a final product that can be printed on-site.

Color Inkjet Printer

This printer is brought along for inspections and allow the on-site printing of the final results.
