Appletree Home Inspections

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website and learn more about Appletree Home Inspections. I feel the Home Inspection process is not only a means to describe the condition of the observable components of a house, but also a time to provide my client with an increased knowledge of the house and its components. In so many cases, problems with a home can be traced to a lack of understanding on how moisture and water can damage not only the mechanical and structural systems of a home but how it might relate to other issues such as the longevity of painted surfaces, the performance of the roofing system and the indoor air quality of ones home. This is the reasons I stress that clients be on hand during the inspection. Not only does this reduce any misunderstandings of the limitation of a home inspection but it also provides one with the knowledge on how to avoid some of those pitfalls that can lead to costly repairs. With a better knowledge of the condition of a house and an understanding of its maintenance requirements you are better armed to make an informed buying decision saving both your valuable time and money.

I have been involved in the building trades for 15 years. The first 5 years of my career was as working for a small residential remodeling company. During this time I gained home inspector Carl Eisenvaluable skills across multiple trades such as rough carpenter, finish carpenter, drywaller. My work in remodeling provided me the skills to solve problems in all types of housing from old farmhouses with structural failures to newer homes with water infiltration problems. This gave me a good foundation of problem recognition and solving skills.

After 5 years I made a change from remodeling to new home construction. Joining a general contracting firm, I worked for 12 years building more than 150 high end custom homes throughout the area. This experience expanded my knowledge of a homes structure and its mechanical systems. I developed not only the ability to recognize oncoming problems but also the skills to provide the solutions to the unforeseen problems that can occur in a custom home environment.

I have now formed my own company and am working full time as a Home Inspector. I received formal training in the home inspection field through the American Home Inspector Training Institute. This course not only added to an already broad background on a home and its performance but also gives me access to a vast virtual home inspection tourresource of experience and knowledge. I have also successfully completed the State test and the National skills test required for licensing by the State of Wisconsin. I am a certified member of the American Society of Home Inspectors. I have been awarded the designation of Inspector by Review by inspecting and presenting the results of a home that had been previously evaluated to a board of experienced inspectors from my chapter. This is one of the oldest and most prestigious organizations in the home inspection industry and is a great honor for me. I have had to pass 2 tests and have 50 home inspections reviewed for adherence to the associations standards of practice. These standards are the most rigorous in the nation and are copied by those states providing licensing and regulations regarding the home inspection industry.

My current professional affiliations are with:

American Society of Home Inspectors

American Home Inspector Training Institute

Wisconsin Association of Home Inspectors

Kettle Moraine Realtors Association

West Bend Sunrise Rotary

What does this mean for you? Confidence that you are getting an inspector that is not just an engineer, painter, or carpenter, but someone that has a broad background and knowledge of all the materials and systems that go into your home. One whose affiliations not only show a dedication to a high level standard of practice but one that also has access to a vast resource of knowledge. This is why I present Appletree Home Inspections as one of the premier home inspection companies in the area and I am confident that I can put my knowledge to work for you.

Sincerely,

Carl Eisen
